realme 5 Pro Leaps to Quad Camera in PH!

Jullian Robin Sibi 0

It’s INSANE how much progress that realme made in the Philippines in less than a year! From its first outing in the realme C1 to their current offering in the realme 3 Pro. Since we’re in September (otherwise known as Techtember), almost every tech company will release new tech for the holiday season. Good thing they never stop putting out new phones because the Philippines will soon have the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro!

realme 5 Pro’s Standout Feature: Quad Rear Cameras!

Realme 5 Pro - Quad Camera

The obvious standout feature of this phone is the quad rear camera system! It consists of:

  • A 48MP SONY IMX 586 main camera with f/1.79 aperture
  • 8MP wide-angle camera with 119┬║ field-of-view
  • 2MP portrait camera (for portrait mode)
  • 2MP macro camera (for close shots up to 4cm shooting distance)

We’ve seen phones with four rear cameras before. (Look no further than the Samsung Galaxy A9 from last year). This will be the first time that a lower-end phone will get the feature! It always amazes me as to how realme is able to move at a blazing fast pace in its first year.

Loving This Crystal Green!

Not to be upstaged by other phones, the realme 5 Pro comes in two stunning colors: Sparkling Blue and Crystal Green! I personally LOVE Crystal Green. It looks like a mix of green, blue, and black. The phone’s back feels like a mix of the backs of the realme 3 Pro and the C2.

realme 5 Pro Specs

For the specs junkies out there, here’s everything that’s in the 5 Pro:

  • 6.3-inch Dewdrop FHD+ (2340×1080) display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor
  • 4/6/8 GB LPDDR4X RAM
  • 64/128 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage
  • microSD card support up to 256GB
  • 4035 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge
  • 3.5-mm headphone jack, USB-C port
  • Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 realme edition

Any Word on When We’ll Get PH Pricing and Release?

Nothing yet, but I’m told that they’re gearing up for the Philippine launch in the next few weeks. I’ll keep you guys posted on when that is!

Are you looking to get a new phone? Is the realme 5 Pro or even the realme 5 a good option? Sound off in the comments!
